What is Valve?
Valves are defined as devices that control or regulate the termination, commencement and direction, and also the pressure or rate of flow of a fluid when under pressure which is delivered by a compressor or a vacuum pump or is stored in a vessel.
Pneumatic control valve with air open type and gas type two kinds of action, air open type pneumatic control valve When the implementation of the membrane head air pressure increases, the valve to increase the opening direction of action, when the input pressure reaches the upper limit, the valve is fully open status. Pneumatic control valves are the valves in which the working medium is either air or gas. It's also a valve that regulates the flow of fluid. It is remotely operated as the correcting unit of an automatic control system.
Pneumatic control valves are usually the final controlling element of process control equipment at power systems. A
pressure control valve will control the pressure of air in the pneumatic mechanism. Controlling a mechanism using pneumatic begins with pressurises the gas. The gases most commonly used for this control are carbon dioxide, nitrogen, and high pressured air.
To select the pneumatic control valve for your own condition, you should first understand the working principle of the pneumatic valve.
Here are some basic pneumatic control valves :
Directional control valves Directional control valves are vital in any pneumatic circuit, directing or blocking airflow to control the speed of operations.
Three-way valves Direct pressurised air to the cap end side of the cylinder. To block flow and pressure to the actuator, shift the spool to the other extreme position. Three-way valves may also be used in pairs to operate a double-acting cylinder, thus replacing a four-way valve.
Four-way, three position valve This valve is also available in five port versions. The most common center conditions for these valves are " all ports blocked" and "exhaust center."
